Jonathan Stepanuk handles high conflict divorce and custody cases, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and domestic violence matters.
In additional to his trial work, Mr. Stepanuk has successfully negotiated settlements in the most contentious cases on issues of child custody, alimony, child support, and property division. He is committed to common sense solutions while utilizing his experience as a litigator. Mr. Stepanuk graduated from the University of Maryland A. James Clark School of Engineering with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he worked as a defense contractor near Naval Air Station Patuxent River in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, supporting Naval Air and Naval Sea platforms.
Following his time as an engineer, Mr. Stepanuk attended the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he was involved in Moot Court and was awarded the 5th best oralist for the Preliminary rounds of the North American Region. After graduation, Mr. Stepanuk served as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jerome R. Spencer in the Circuit Court for Charles County. As a judicial law clerk, he assisted the Judge in all areas of domestic, contract, property, and criminal law and established a regional reputation of being a hard-working, dedicated, and enthusiastic attorney. Prior to joint Paradiso, Taub, Sinay, Owel & Kostecka, P.C., Jonathan served as an associate at a boutique family law firm in Montgomery County.
